Quick Questions on Selling Online.
The estimated reading time for this post is 3 minutes
Today’s quick questions on selling online was asked via my email and I think it’s okay for me to publish it here because it is going to help so many people as well who have the similar questions on The Art of Successful Selling. If you have a product you want to sell online but you don’t know how to go about it, the questions below and the answers I give will be useful for you.
Q 1. After you create a digital product, for instance, do you create a squeeze page to collect emails and a different page as the sales page?
A 1. Yes, you need to create different pages for the squeeze and the sale. The squeeze page helps you get the emails of those who are really interested in the product. You have their permission to send them follow-up emails on the product and why they should buy the product. You direct them to the sales page repeatedly. You are sure of getting more sales this way.
Q 2. Which one do you drive traffic to? If you drive traffic to the squeeze page, what can you offer to make them give you their emails?
A 2. I drive traffic to both. The traffic I direct to squeeze page will later be directed to the sales page. If the product is an e-book, you can give them either first page or first chapter for free so they can give you their emails. If the product is a video/audio, you can give them a short version of it. If the product is a software, you can give a trial version. If the product is a membership site, you can give a 7-days free use. Just offer something that is valuable and related to the product you want to sell.
Q 3. What tool do you use to offer the free incentive and what platform do you use to sell the product? How do you connect it to your Nigerian account?
A 3. I use simple html to create the squeeze page and then use MadMimi to create the subscription box and follow-up emails to offer the free incentive and then further sales emails. I upload the free incentive somewhere in my hosting space provided by Web4Africa for easy downloads. I create sales pages easily on mmo.ng with the landing pages provided by Genesis Framework to sell the products. You can then use VoguePay for people to pay directly online for the product with their bank cards or you can have them pay offline into your Nigerian account.
I know these questions on selling online and the answers provided are helpful to you. I’ll be looking forward to publish more. Remember, if you have some questions, please go to MMO.NG Discussion Forum so I could help answer the questions openly. Also, If you have additions to my answers above, you could do that by leaving a comment on this post and it will be shown for others to read and learn from you.
